Our 2024 Homes Tour was a huge success! We showcased four unique homes, all located in the charming Rose Garden Neighborhood. The standout property was the McAlister home, which was a crowd favorite. This house was the original in the neighborhood and had fallen into disrepair before being purchased by its current owners just a couple of years ago. Since then, they’ve completely renovated the home, carefully preserving its original features.
The second home on the tour was a charming space with incredible style. The wallpaper and decor, featuring items from the owners’ home country of Holland, added a beautiful personal touch. The next stop was a spacious Mediterranean-style home, complete with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace—an ideal setting for hosting gatherings and parties.
These first three homes were just around the corner from each other, and this year, we made a shift from past tours by inviting vendors to set up at each house, rather than having them all gather at the Tea House. This new layout was a big hit, especially with the addition of several new vendors who brought a fresh energy to the event. It was a true pleasure to walk between the homes while enjoying the opportunity to shop with our fantastic new vendors.
The fourth and final house was a few blocks away, featuring a sleek, modern new build with a discreet ADU. Each of the four homeowners was so generous and a pleasure to work with. After the tour, we wrapped up at Hop & Vine on The Alameda, where they hosted our lunch and boutique with a specially curated menu and a featured rosé.
Looking ahead to next year, we’re excited to build on the aspects of the event that were so popular—the variety of vendors, the nearby lunch spot, and the walkable nature of the tour. We look forward to continuing the tradition of the Rose Garden Homes Tour for many years to come!
