This year we welcome twenty five new families! Our 1st - 8th grade classes have twenty one new students and we have twenty three joining us in TK and Kindergarten. We can't want to have them all become an integral part of the St. Martin family and join our close knit community, our activities, extra curriculars, programs, and spiritual life.
We also welcome six new faculty and staff to our amazing St. Martin team. Some familiar faces, and some very new (including our new puppy, Archie.) We hope when you run into them you greet them and get to know them all, as we expect them to be be here for a long time.
Archie, School Dog, Golden Doodle, Friend in training
Meet the newest member of the St. Martin's family, Archie the Golden Doodle. For many years our faculty has wanted to bring on a school dog who can help support students. We worked with Red, White, and Doodle (located in our neighborhood), who allowed us to come visit all of their dogs last summer.
Archie has quickly become a beloved member of our community! He has helped a few TK students when they have been upset. The kids spend a few minutes with him, and then Archie walks them back to class. Students in other grades have started to have opportunities to reregulate with Archie. If you are an alumni or parishioner, we invite you to stop by campus and meet Archie soon!
Ms. Meghan Dunne, 3rd Grade Teacher
We are excited to welcome Ms. Meghan Dunne as our new third grade teacher! Ms. Dunne is in the ExCEL program at Santa Clara University, a program committed to developing teachers and working for social justice.
Ms. Dunne was born and raised in a suburb of the Twin Cities, and she remains a Minnesota fan despite her family's recent relocation to central Illinois. She graduated this spring from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and a minor in poverty studies. Aside from her studies, she enjoys running, painting, and baking in her free time.
Mr. Brian Sajor, Band Director and teacher
Welcome to Brian Sajor, St. Martin's the new band teacher at St. Martin of Tours School! A San Jose native with a rich musical background, Mr. Sajor has studied piano, violin, and clarinet, and performed with various ensembles, including the UC Irvine Wind Ensemble and Milpitas Community Band. He holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Music Performance from UC Irvine and a Master’s in Teaching from SJSU.
Outside of teaching, he enjoys watching movies, reading sci-fi books, and attending live music events.
Ms. Theresa Knight, Art Teacher
Welcome to Theresa Knight, our new Art Teacher. Born and raised in Sunnyvale, Theresa Knight graduated from Archbishop Mitty and earned a degree in Child Development with a bachelor’s in Art from CSU Monterey Bay.
A dedicated art educator with 16 years of experience, Theresa combines a deep love for painting and gardening with a passion for inspiring creativity in students. Theresa lives with her husband and their teenage son, and when she has spare time, she always spends it with her dog, Toby!
Mrs. Kristy Wetmore ('93) Auerbach, Community Engagement Coordinator & Events
Kristy Auerbach is our new Community Engagement Coordinator, overseeing all school events, the SCRIP program, and the middle school foreign language program.
An StM alumna parent of Collin ('25) and Emma ('28), Kristy attended Archbishop Mitty High School and earned a Business Degree from SJSU. With extensive experience in event planning, she is enthusiastic about work with those eager to get involved. If you're interested in participating please don't hesitate to reach out.
